METT SINGAPORE – SIMPLY MAGNETIC

METT SINGAPORE – SIMPLY MAGNETIC

To mark the launch of METT Singapore, we brought the hotel’s “Simply Magnetic” allure to life through a playful, unexpected journey. The film follows two unlikely protagonists, a sunbed and a pool umbrella, as they travel through the streets of Singapore and the greenery of Fort Canning Park, ultimately returning home to the hotel’s poolside.

BEHIND THE SCENES

For the METT Singapore “Simply Magnetic” film, we wanted to make something real and playful in a time when much of the work leans heavily on digital. Instead of relying on CGI, we physically built a motorised, remote-controlled sunbed and pool umbrella and sent them out into the park.

That meant planning real routes, dealing with uneven ground, and figuring out how to keep the furniture stable as it travelled through Fort Canning Park before making its way back to the hotel pool. It was a hands-on, slightly ridiculous process, but one that grounded the film in real craft and gave the story its charm.
